After retiring, I decided to try and learn Spanish. I researched the available programs in Central and South America and found that Ecela was uniformly rated as excellent. I decided to attend Ecela's school in Cusco because I wanted to combine a spectacular vacation with my language studies. In November-December 2010, I took introductory Spanish for three weeks in Cusco, combining my classes with tours of the city and the area's many Incan archeological sites. It was an incredible! I received one-on-one instruction from Erik, who is the most patient, kind, supportive, and excellent teacher I can imagine. Every morning with Erik was a delight, and in the afternoons, Ecela arranged great adventures for me: horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and touring. My accommodations at an apartment with other students were great, and I got to practice my nascent Spanish with my fellow students and our neighbors. All this at a very, very reasonable price. Thank you, thank you, Ecela and Erik. Regards, Ken Hipp, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

I loved my time at Ecela lima the Teacher are very friendly and lend a helpful hand if you are having Trouble understanding a topic they will also help you get around the city of lima if you love to go and explore. The School location is in a very nice part of Lima where you can walk around to the Kennedy Park and provides a great of night life for students who love to go out . In your time while at school you get to meet different people from around the world. Also the daily activities are very educating about the history of Peru and very fun. I would highly recommend booking Classes at Ecela Shout to all the Staff for all of their hard work .Nos vemos pronto Viva El Peru

I enrolled into Ecela Lima for 2 weeks at the beginning of my travels through South America hoping to pick up the basics of the Spanish language, a bit reluctantly as I was never good at learning languages when younger. However it became evident almost as soon as I walked in for my first day that Ecela would offer me so much more than just the basics of the language. From being welcomed into the school with open arms, to the creative, interactive and most importantly effective classes, to the culture, diversity and comaradery of the break-times with all students from all levels and nationalities as well as the teachers and other members of staff, every day I was in the school was thoroughly enjoyable and my time at Ecela is one of the highlights of my seven month trip. The excursions and social activities organised by the school were always interesting, culturally educative and fun, allowing for more time to bond with members of staff, students and to engage in Peruvian culture and practice Spanish in the real world. However the highlights for me will always be the karaoke nights, although I never tried any Spanish songs and stuck to the likes of The Backstreet Boys and Aqua :)
I am currently in Spain trying to continually expand my level of Spanish and I thank everyone at Ecela Lima for not only introducing me to their language and culture, but for being the staring point where I realised how much I love the langauge and for going out of their way to make sure I was happy, comfortable and constantly challenging and encouraging me to speak and practice Spanish. My passion for learning Spanish has been hugely influenced by Ecela´s passion for teaching. I truley hope that one day I can return to Lima and speak fluent Spanish with the Ecela family. Thanks to everyone who was part of my time at the school.

"I have traveled and studied all over the world, from Australia to Mexico to France, Italy, England, and many more countries, and have experienced many different cultures and languages firsthand. Traveling to Lima, Peru was the very first time I had ever been to South America, and I was not disappointed! I attended ECELA in Lima for 3 weeks, and I had the most fun, amazing, unique, and unforgettable experiences. The people who run ECELA are very friendly and approachable. The teachers challenge their students on a daily basis to learn the Spanish language, but at the same time make learning fun through interesting, interactive conversations and various educational games. ECELA provided snacks and drinks during break time, which was great to keep students going until their next meal. Additionally, ECELA had optional events throughout the week that enabled students to get out and explore the area with their peers. Studying Spanish in a country that speaks Spanish as its native language is the best way to learn. I lived with a Peruvian family as well as conversed in Spanish on a daily basis in order to get places via taxi, order food at a restaurant, ask for directions, and more, so I was fully immersed in the Peruvian culture and Spanish language, enabling me to learn quickly. I highly recommend ECELA, and look forward to returning to Peru soon!"

Qual escola!? Pesquisei no Google, onde encontrei várias opções!!

Have attended classes in three Ecela locations (and counting): Lima, Cusco, and Viña del Mar. All three have been positive experiences and I would not hesitate to recommend any of these fine schools. I gained more weight in Lima than in the other two locations because Lima is famous for its fine restaurants and I took advantage of this (too many times, according to the scales).
I liked the amount of energy that the Claudia and Mariela displayed in the classroom and I also appreciated the amount of energy expended by Gladys and Joan in arranging extracurricular activities.
If you like the beach, I can heartily recommend Lima and/or Viña del Mar. If you like the high altitude, Cusco will tickle your fancy and get you to Machu Picchu, tambien.
I chose the Homestay option in all three locales and had positive experiences in each case, although your mileage may vary. It's easy to change Homestay hosts if you desire.
Get thee hence
