Students interested in courses for credit can study throughout the year according to ECELA’s frequent start dates. Standard group language courses may be taken on the normal schedule and specialized courses such as literature or culture may be taken as private courses. Group classes are intensive, consisting of 20 contact hours per week with a maximum of seven students per class. Every two weeks students complete one more level of proficiency.

Credit Approval and Certification
You should check with an adviser at your institution concerning whether or not additional information (course syllabus, description, etc.) is required to guarantee credit acceptance. We will send such information upon request.
Upon program completion you will receive an official transcript endorsed by ECELA and Universidad Bolivariana or Brookhaven College.

Accreditation Process steps:
1. Visit your university Spanish department for study abroad credit requirements.
2. We will mail you a set of documents to pre-approve your studies.
3. Study Spanish abroad at our school(s).
4. Submit transcripts to your university for credit.

**Your transcript will be given in local grading standards (scale of 0.0 – 100.0).

We will supply an explanation of the corresponding North American grades.
2 ECELA courses (4 weeks/80 hours) = 3 American university credits
