ECELA works together with different companies in Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru.
It is ideal for students who want to gain practical experience via an unpaid internship. Placements are available in Santiago de Chile and Lima, Peru, with duration of one to nine months. All internships are evaluated and supervised throughout the placement. Students may arrange for credit through their home university.
The Spanish & Internship Itinerary
• You will start with your 4 weeks of Spanish Classes to improve your Spanish and get used to the accent and to the country.
• Internship Interviews: you will have your interview anytime during the last two weeks of your Spanish program.
• Internship Placement: you will start right after your Spanish school. The length is from one to nine months; however we recommend that you spend at least two months, in order to have a more complete experience.
• Spanish Classes and Internship Certification: You will receive your diploma for your Spanish lesson at the end of your program.
• Ongoing support: our School is your “CASA” you are always welcome to use the Internet or to come in for any help that you may need.

Application
The application must be two months prior to the program start.
Please fill in the booking and choose at the bottom of the registration, internships, in the comments field, let us know about:
• Desired Internship field.
• Planned duration of the internship and preferences regarding accommodations.
• Prior experience in the area.
• Spanish background (Spanish Intermediate level normally is required)
Your student advisor assigned will contact you for a copy of your resume with picture (sorry in Chile and Peru this is normal).
In order to reserve a spot in the program, you should apply 2 months prior the program start date and pay a processing fee of US50. This fee is non-refundable and will be used to translate your resume and arrange your placement interviews.
